The Yogi Adityanath government of Uttar Pradesh today decided to seal hotspots in 15 coronavirus-affected districts to prevent the outbreak of COVID-19. Gautam Buddha Nagar (Noida), Lucknow, Ghaziabad, Meerut, Agra, Kanpur, Varanasi, Shamli, Bareilly, Bulandshahr, Firozabad, Maharajganj, Sitapur, Saharanpur and Basti are among the 15 districts. The hotspots of these districts will be implemented today.

The Chief Secretary announced that people living in these 15 districts could essentials order at home by calling helpline number 112. All coronavirus hotspots in 15 districts will be completely sealed since morning of April 15. All essential things delivery at door to door are allowed. Those are the places where many COVID-19 cases have been found, “Director; Information Shishir told PTI. Those hotspots will be set up through the evening, said Additional Chief Secretary of Information, Avnish Awasthi.
There have been 326 coronavirus positive cases in Uttar Pradesh so far, including four deaths. Noida, a hotspot, has so far registered 58 COVID-19 cases, while Agra has 44 cases so now. Meerut is the third most hit Uttar Pradesh district with 25 coronavirus cases. Total coronavirus positive cases in India have crossed 5,100, with Maharashtra being the biggest hit for one-fifth of the total cases in the country.
Drone cameras are monitoring COVID-19 hotspot areas. The main objective of the government to do this is that all the citizens who are sealed inside their home, do not come out. No one is allowed to come inside the hotspot area, vice versa.
